Raton, FL – Dale Lecrone, past president of BEMA and chairman of the LeMatic,
Inc. board of directors, presented a $3,000 check from BEMA at the Independent
Bakers Association’s Annual Membership Meeting on Feburary 26, 2002, in support
of the BakePac dinner. Marvin
Eversdyke, IBA chairman, noted that, “BEMA has sponsored this event exclusively
for the past seven years,” and the IBA values
BEMA’s continuing support. Bob
Pyle, IBA president added, “The contribution will assist IBA’s lobbying efforts
and help to preserve the independent baking industry.”
Lecrone
added that BEMA has embarked on efforts to work more closely with baking
associations and organizations to support worthwhile activities benefiting the
baking industry and is pleased to provide this much needed financial support. In addition to the IBA BakePac, BEMA also
has agreed to fund the IBA Smith-Schaus-Smith internship program and the Young
Presidents’ Council receptions.
