Ocean Kayak & Snorkeling Adventure – $450/person
Enjoy a fun filled adventure day of kayaking and snorkeling in crystal clear Puako Bay. Start your adventure with a brief safety and paddling demonstration, then we launch the kayaks and paddle along the beautiful Kohala
coast for about 20-30 minutes to our favorite snorkeling spot. Once we arrive, we tie the kayaks up to a buoy and pass out snorkel gear. We carefully explain how to properly use the gear and how to get in and out of the kayaks (don’t worry, anyone can do it and the guides can give you a little boost back in, if you need a little help). Tropical fish are everywhere; the reef is alive and beautiful. Whether a first-timer or an experienced snorkeler, you are sure to have a great time! Your guide will be snorkeling with you and can help you find and identify all kinds of cool sea creatures. After snorkeling, we go to a nice beach for a light picnic lunch & photo op before heading back to Puako Bay.
- Children under the age of 5 years are not permitted.
- The afternoon tour is not suitable for anyone prone to seasickness, and we will no longer allow kids under 12,
or adults over 70, due to potentially rough conditions. - To ensure safety, you must be able to swim, float, and be comfortable in the ocean. Participants should be
reasonably physically fit. - Recommended footwear includes “aqua socks” or Teva type footwear.
- Participants should bring their own towel.
- Maximum weight is (225 pounds per person), unless highly athletic or experienced in kayaks and then maybe 240 would be okay with a smaller partner.
- Ocean conditions are unpredictable; mornings are usually calmer than afternoons. We do need to warn people not to come if they are prone to seasickness or have no prior experience because some afternoons
can get pretty choppy.
