Connecting Global Baking Education

 |

In 2019, IBIE and iba announced a strategic alliance partnership in an effort to support the growth and advancement of the global baking industry. What we have found since then is that our world is even more connected than ever. This makes this October’s educational events even more exciting.

All around the world, at the same time, our industry will produce events both in-person with IBIEducate 2021 in Kansas City and virtually with iba.CONNECTING EXPERTS.

IBIEducate 2021 is an industry education event produced by ABA and BEMA that will take place live in Kansas City October 26-28. Educational topics will include workforce, production, sanitary design, hands-on training, certification courses, IncuBAKER, technology and ingredients, Insights & Discovery and facility tours.  iba.CONNECTING EXPERTS is a free event taking place October 25-28 with online experiences to Entertain, Learn, Discover and Entertain.

What is so exciting about this partnership and these concurrent events is that we are working together to navigate the changing paradigms of training and educating our global workforce both in-person and virtually. And that partnership continues to strengthen as each organization presents dynamic programs to help our global industry thrive.

Take, for example, iba.CONNECTING EXPERTS building upon the previous success of its virtual event in March 2021. Attendees will more easily navigate the four pillars of CONNECT, DISCOVER, LEARN, and ENTERTAIN. And then based on the areas of interest, the platform will recommend tailored content such as exciting lectures or interesting product presentations from innovative companies.

Be sure to check out our iba.CONNECTING EXPERTS session on US TRENDS or stop by the IBIE virtual booth. We’re going to examine the U.S. market and explore baking manufacturing trends. Key issues will include how the industry is managing COVID-19, supply chain, shipping and more. It’s a lot of ground to cover.

Meanwhile, at IBIEducate 2021, joins together the talents, expertise, and connections of the American Bakers Association and BEMA to bring attendees an extremely hands-on learning experience. And, because of the partnership, IBIEducate 2021 attendees in Kansas City can register for free to iba.CONNECTING Experts virtual program to engage with their baking industry peers from around the globe.

Lastly, this cooperation shows the promise of how great will be in 2022 at IBIE in Las Vegas and 2023 in Munich. This pandemic has kept but we are showing we have never been more connected.
