BEMA’s Board of Directors Is Building A Vision And Setting A Path
Building on a series of successful BEMA events — Convention, NEXUS and IBIE to highlight a few — where members were celebrated and the focus was on connections, BEMA’s Board of Directors is spending late October proactively planning for the next era of member resources, industry collaborations, and the advancement of impactful educational partnerships.
Drawing inspiration from the theme “Building the Vision, Setting the Path”, BEMA’s leadership is poised to architect the next several years of the association’s future, staying true to the mission and vision.
Mission: BEMA connects, educates, and provides resources for its members and the industries they serve.
Vision: BEMA creates an overwhelming competitive advantage for our members.
“The baking industry currently has many hot topics and pressing issues,” said Jay Hardy, BEMA Chairman. “We know that our members need solutions, and they look to BEMA as a solution provider. Spending a few days focused on strategically laying the groundwork for the next 3-5 years will pay dividends to BEMA’s membership, and to the organization as a whole.”
Coming together in Dallas, TX, BEMA’s Board of Directors, staff and primary partners will evaluate the strategic pillars on which the organization operates, examine the current industry landscape and outline priority initiatives. Led by consultants from Flyway Advantage, the group will challenge themselves to focus on human, technological, and operational issues impacting members. The intended outcomes of this session are to:
- Identify new opportunities for BEMA to continue to exceed the expectations of the baking industry;
- Establish new ways to adapt to ongoing societal changes and technological advancements;
- Enhance existing programs to continue to build on BEMA’s strong personal and professional relationships.
” I always say that great things happen when we bring this group of people together, and that’s exactly what I predict for our time together in Dallas. BEMA’s volunteer leadership is at the forefront of the baking industry…their fingers are on the pulse. Pairing that industry knowledge with their collective business acumen is a win-win for BEMA.”
