IBIE 2025 Sets New Standard for the Global Baking Industry – 19,000+ Professionals from 96 Countries Converge in Landmark Event
Las Vegas – September 13-17, 2025
IBIE 2025 exceeded expectations, drawing more than 19,000 industrial and retail baking professionals, spanning 96 countries, and featuring 1,005 exhibitors across a record-setting 451,000 square feet of exhibit space. Among them, more than 180 BEMA member exhibitors elevated their brand and visibility.
As co-owner of IBIE, BEMA leveraged this milestone triennial event to reinforce its leadership in the industry and to amplify its commitment to accessible education offerings, industry-wide collaboration and member-focused engagements.
“Every three years IBIE has the opportunity to give back to the industry by providing a multi-purpose platform. People from shared-interest categories are able to gather and unpack current successes and failures; global baking industry leaders have the opportunity to meet and work through collective issues; professionals from every segment of baking have the most diverse offering of educational sessions and demonstrations available. And all of this while BEMA members fill their booths with the products and solutions that bakers need to maximize their operations.”
Industry Voices: BEMA Member Perspectives
First-time IBIE attendee perspective:
Taylor Wehrwein, Director of HR & Operations at Ingredient Solutions LLC describes IBIE as a gateway to new relationships and heightened brand recognition.
“For us, the best part of IBIE was the opportunity to build new relationships and grow our network within the baking industry. Just being there and having conversations helped get our brand out there in a meaningful way.”
She added that the face-to-face interaction at IBIE underscored the vital importance of being active in the baking community:
“As a small company, we saw firsthand how those connections can lead to real opportunities. It reminded us that being engaged and active in the community isn’t just helpful, it’s essential for growth.”
Long-time IBIE attendee perspective:
Angela McDaniel, Marketing Coordinator at Formost Fuji, who has engaged with IBIE over many show cycles, characterized the event as a unifier.
“Connecting with everyone in the industry, whether they are customers or not. I love the feeling the baking industry invokes. Even people like me, who are not as well-known and involved in the industry, still feel that we are part of a bigger family that joins together every three years.”
She emphasized the benefit of BEMA’s exhibitor-support focus:
“Having another large tradeshow on the heels of IBIE made it very obvious that other trade show companies do not put the exhibitor above the attendee. Thank you IBIE for recognizing that and creating processes that make things easier for the exhibitor.”
Angela also noted the positive momentum throughout the show floor:
“The leads are always useful; however, I felt the energy level was higher this year and that helped our sales managers connect, collaborate, and really get a feel for what the industry is looking for and the direction it is going.”
BEMA’s Role and Vision
BEMA’s leadership at IBIE 2025 was anchored by its intention to elevate industry storytelling and ensure that every voice — from the smallest supplier to the largest baker — is heard. As Kerwin Brown noted, the planning committee is deeply rooted in daily industry realities, which ensures IBIE stays aligned with true market-driven needs.
“The IBIE leadership team, both association staff and industry volunteers, set a new bar for excellence this show cycle. The baker and supplier members of the committee are key decision makers in the baking industry. Their fingers are on the pulse of the trends, challenges and opportunities that are shaping the market. The association teams are focused on creating a welcoming and purposeful, best-in-class comprehensive tradeshow experience that serves the diverse needs of their members.”
The event’s expansive scale and global reach underscore BEMA’s role as more than a trade association — as a curator of connections, catalyst for important conversations and platform for expansive educational and professional development. BEMA members represent 50% of the IBIE exhibiting floor space, further reinforcing the association’s influence and centrality to the baking ecosystem.
Looking Forward
As IBIE 2025 closes, the momentum is already building for the next edition in 2028. BEMA remains dedicated to delivering not just another trade show, but an immersive industry experience that reflects, amplifies and shapes the future of global baking.
“The planning committee is back in action just weeks after the show to take a deep dive into attendee and exhibitor feedback, as well as show metrics. We are fortunate to have an industry audience that is passionate about IBIE. Listening to key insights from those that participated in the 2025 show will help guide and mold the strategic direction for 2028.”
