Code of Ethics

We, the members of BEMA, commit to ethical business practices that uphold our industry, public welfare, and the integrity of our association.

  1. We will at all times conduct our business in a fair and honorable manner; truly represent our products only as they actually are; do what we promise to do and promise only what we reasonably can do; compete fairly with others on the basis of the merits of our products and services; refrain from false or misleading statements or insinuations about competitors, their products or services; and make no unfair, erroneous or misleading comparisons thereof.
  2. We, as member companies, commit to honorable and reasonable efforts to create fair, safe working conditions for our employees by maintaining a sincere interest in their welfare. We are committed to the growth, development and overall wellbeing of our workforce, regardless of position.
  3. We will continually seek to enhance our business, products, and services by embracing innovation and industry advancements.
  4. We will be loyal in our support of the Association in its efforts to promote our industry.
  5. We will cooperate with allied industries in advancing the cause of our industry in the interest of the public welfare and general good.
  6. We will be guided by the spirit of justice, honor, and fairness in all our relations with our fellow BEMA members as well as allied trades. We realize that the standard of ethics maintained in our industry must vitally affect the standard observed in associate industries. We will discourage unfair trade practices that may exist in those trades, even though such practices may, at times, be to our own immediate advantage.
  7. We will adhere faithfully to our Code of Ethics and encourage our fellow members to do likewise.
  8. We will conduct ourselves with personal integrity in a manner that enhances and honors the reputation of our company, our community, the industry and BEMA.
  9. We will build strong relationships with all to enable a culture of integrity and uncompromising ethics to advance, support and promote the value of BEMA membership.
  10. We will respect diversity and foster inclusion in all aspects of our work, ensuring that our industry remains welcoming and equitable for all individuals.
