On Friday, June 24, Convention 2022 brought together a panel of bakers to share their perspectives. The discussion included what’s keeping them up at night, silver linings coming out of the last two years, evolutions in company culture, expectations for IBIE and a look at future projections.

Planning ahead is not something many of us have had the luxury of doing over the past couple of years. In fact, these days doing so can feel like an absolute extravagance.

Since the last IBIE, our industry and the world have been through incredible, unimaginable changes. Coming through the past two years, the industry has been lucky to always have the shining beacon of IBIE ahead in 2022.

In 2019, IBIE and iba announced a strategic alliance partnership to support the growth and advancement of the global baking industry. We have found since then our world is more connected than ever. Whether you’ve just submitted your application for Round 2, or already selected your space in the expo hall – here’s the latest on how to prepare for IBIE 2022, the Western Hemisphere’s largest and most comprehensive baking event.

Registration is now open for IBIEducate 2021, a new kind of educational event for the entire baking industry. For the first time in IBIE's 100-year history, the world-class IBIEducate training found at the triennial Baking Expo™ will be accessible more frequently with its debut in Kansas City from October 26-28, 2021. Backed by two of the most trusted industry associations—American Bakers Association (ABA) and Baking Equipment Manufacturers and Allieds (BEMA)—with co-located workshops hosted by the Retail Bakers of America (RBA), IBIEducate 2021 will deliver actionable takeaways for wholesale, retail, and supplier sectors.

IBIE Round 2 is open to BEMA members, as well as past exhibitors. BEMA members can save up to 30% / sq. ft. vs. the non-member rates!

In-person, interactive training has always been essential for growth in the grain-based foods industry—and even more so now, when major disruptions like the COVID-19 pandemic, new technologies, and shifting consumer preferences are accelerating the pace of change across all markets. As a part of the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE), the American Bakers Association (ABA) and Baking Equipment Manufacturers and Allieds (BEMA) today announced the formation of a joint educational conference: IBIEducate 2021. The new gathering will be held October 26-28, 2021, in Kansas City, MO.
