I don’t know about you, but it seems to me that this year has flown by at an incredible pace. It’s as if we’ve either been in a mode of wondering what could be coming up next or pacing ourselves against the excitement of finally being able to move forward and make plans.

Washington, DC - The American Bakers Association (ABA) is pleased to welcome five new members to their Board of Directors.

Kudos to the IBIEducate team, they really knocked it out of the park! The education sessions were well-attended, offering thoughtful discussions and focusing on trends and challenges in the baking industry.

The show floor was spectacular and, no surprise, BEMA members brought their best. The colorful array of booths showcased the expertise our industry has to offer in the way of new innovations and services.

For several years now, IBIE 2022 has represented both a possibility and a shining promise. During the pandemic when so many shows were cancelled and everything shifted to virtual, it was difficult to imagine if a show of IBIE’s caliber might ever happen again.

With the spectacular of 2022 IBIE still fresh in my memory, I’ve had a few days to reflect on the leadership that Dennis Gunnell provided over the challenging past three years as IBIE Chairman.
