Guided Tours

Catamaran Sandbar Splash Adventure

Experience an ideal day out aboard a 30’-40’ sailboat on the sparkling blue waters off the coast of South Florida. Your guests will cruise down the Intracoastal Waterway to the open ocean.  The sea breezes and the salt air will satisfy everyone’s taste for fun.  Calypso music and breaking waves will provide a tropical rhythm for the sail.

The course will be set for one of South Florida’s most picturesque background where the water is turquoise and the sand bars are abundant.  It will be time to sip a cool beverage, stretch out, soak up the sun and enjoy a relaxing swim.

SAMPLE ITINERARY:

1:00 PM Arrive at marina and board catamaran

1:00 – 5:00 PM Catamaran Sandbar Splash Adventure

Everglades Airboat Adventure

Come experience South Florida’s outdoors with a trip to the Everglades!  In this vast area of marshy land and water you will discover an abundance and variety of wildlife and plants unique to North America. The intriguing beauty of the endless marshes, wet prairies, sloughs and tree islands extending as far as the eye can see always awes visitors and surprises them with its magnificence.

Rare and endangered species like the American alligator and the Florida Everglades kite cohabit with blue-winged and green-winged teals, storks, river otters, bobcats and white-tailed deer. Participants will enjoy becoming naturalists, exploring this unusual tropical wilderness.

You will also take a thrilling airboat ride, skimming through the marshes and sawgrass of the Everglades!  Each airboat holds about 40 passengers on bench seating.  During the ride, the driver / guide will stop occasionally to let the alligators swim up to the side of the airboat for pictures and to educate participants on the ecological system of the Everglades. Guests will be escorted to the alligator pit where a guide will talk briefly about the gators’ attributes, and guests will be able to enjoy jungle walking trails and reptile exhibits.

Wandering Through Wynwood

The Wynwood Art District is rapidly evolving into one of world’s most innovative neighborhoods, drawing international attention to Miami. Not so long ago, this now-bustling district was a downtrodden collection of industrial warehouses. Art became the catalyst for an astonishing transformation that continues today. When artists started to expand their works from inside their low-rent studios to the outside walls it lead to large-scale, attention-grabbing and sometimes provocative images straddling the line between fine art and graffiti. This now ever-present, evolved ‘Graffiti Art’ is Wynwood’s signature on the planet.

On our tour we will explore both exterior and interior spaces as we stroll along streets alive with stunning visual mosaics in every style and hue, all the while uncovering Wynwood’s dynamic story.

Next we’ll move indoors to get an insider’s view of one of the larger galleries where an expert host will be waiting to introduce the artwork and answer your questions.

Our final stop will be to explore one of the most recent developments beyond art appreciation.  We will venture behind the scenes to learn the intricacies of hand-crafted local rum, and we will round out the tour with tastings of this award-winning spirit.

Cuban Heritage Tour

It was not all that long ago that Miami was a rather large but quiet Southern city.  The Castro revolution in Cuba in 1959 changed Miami forever.  Wave after wave of Cuban refugees have transformed Miami into the Capital of the Americas, a fast-paced, internationally-connected, commercial and entertainment hub with a racy Latin image.  From the food, to the accents on the street, to the fashion scene and every artist’s studio, Miami now pulses with its own original and blended culture.

Come with us on a journey through the story of Miami’s Cuban community.  Experience the passion and vision that these motivated exiles brought to their new home.  We will be visiting Miami’s own version of the Statue of Liberty, a well-loved marketplace, great Cuban food spots, moving monuments, lively street scenes and a place of spiritual reflection and longing.  We will take in the smells, sights, sounds and colors of a street that launched the dramatic transformation of Miami over four decades ago — be prepared for a day of discovery and fun!
