Q: What got you into the baking industry?

A: Demand for our products.

Q: Why do you love the business of baking?

A: Great people, great companies and great food.

Q: Who do you consider a mentor in the industry? Who has made an impact on your career?

A: Really enjoy the relationship that I have with Robb MacKie of ABA He’s been a tremendous source of insight and encouragement.

Q: What goals do you have for your board membership tenure?

A: Make a difference. I don’t look at being on the board as a social network but as the opportunity to make an impact on the industry.

Q: What trend are you most excited about in the baking industry right now?

A: Well I would have to say the drive to automate as it is driving our growth but it’s a concern to hear how desperate so many of our customers are with respect to labor shortages.

Q: What was your favorite baked good as a kid, and now?

A: I grew up eating Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpets and still love them but today I love a good scone in the morning.
