Cara Godack is the Marketing Manager at M&M Refrigeration. Ms. Godack handles all things marketing including trade show management, internal communications, strategic planning and business development initiatives. M&M Refrigeration has designed, manufactured, built and serviced refrigeration systems for 50 years and has hundreds of industrial refrigeration systems around the world.

Kelly Allen, Membership Manager for BEMA had an opportunity to ask Ms. Godack a few questions about herself and the organization.

Q: What is M&M Refrigeration most known for?

A: Our CO2 Cascade Refrigeration systems are what put us on the map. We were the first company in the US to implement them. We currently have the biggest systems in North America and Southeast Asia.

Q: Would you like to share something new or innovative that your company has done recently?

A: We have developed modular refrigeration systems that are a true “plug and play” option. They are great for bakeries that want to expand their capacity with cooling but do not have any engine room space left. These units can be put outside and piped directly to a spiral freezer without taking up valuable floor space. We have also just acquired Carnot Refrigeration, which focuses on all-natural refrigeration units for both commercial and industrial applications. This expands our offering into the commercial space as well as adds to our CO2 Refrigeration offerings for industrial needs.

Q: What drew your company to join BEMA? What resources have you found most valuable?

A: The annual Convention is what initially got M&M involved. It is so valuable because not only do you get to network with other suppliers in the industry and learn about new technologies, you also get to have meaningful meetings with decision makers from prospective customers.

Q: What do you love most about the baking industry?

A: Other companies, especially within BEMA, are always willing to help and see you succeed. Not many other industries can say that.

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

A: I spend my free time riding my horses on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
