During his previous roles as the Director of Sales for the Schubert Group as well as Sales Manager in the UK, he has acquired a broad skillset and understanding regarding the needs and requirements of our various customers.

As a member of BEMA, we are looking forward to strengthening our network within the industry to learn more about our customers’ needs and market requirements to satisfy our customers to the fullest.

Upon Mr. Siegel joining, Ms. Kelly Allen, Membership Manager for BEMA had an opportunity to ask him a few questions about himself.

Q: What do you love most about working in the baking industry?

A: The baking industry is facing major challenges: The declining availability of labor, increasing minimum wages and rapid changes in market requirements pose a risk to the profitability of the bakery manufacturers. Our efficient and highly flexible solutions enable bakery manufacturers to successfully meet the market requirements of the future. Schubert offers modular and scalable automation for all types of business fields. Small sized bakery producers as well as large international corporations rely on flexible robotic automation and packaging solutions of Schubert.

Q: Personal interests or volunteer activities that you enjoy?

A: I am very much into sports activities such as running and playing golf, besides that I enjoy watching basketball and exploring North America.

Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

A: It would probably be the ability to travel through time. It must be very exciting to spend some time in the past as well as in the future and then to return to reality, just like Marty McFly did in “Back to the Future”.

Q: Tell us anything else you would like BEMA members to know about you or your company?

A: The Schubert Group is run by a second generation of owners. The company has developed a very unique corporate culture, based on mutual trust between Schubert and its employees, where individual responsibility and the encouragement of innovation are given high priority.
